Jhansi, January 16: A surprising incident occurred at the police line in Jhansi, where a police officer had to allegedly take the help of the police to save himself from the police. The police officer created a scene at the police line and the video of the incident is doing rounds on social media.
The police officer is seen in the video alleging that his seniors from the department are harassing him for the past two days and that he had visited the police line to discuss about his pending leave application. He also seen breaking down on camera while narrating the ordeal he is going through for the past few years. The case involves Inspector Mohit Yadav, posted in the crime branch, who reportedly called Dial 112 for help after facing alleged harassment from senior officials.
Details About The Incident
Inspector Mohit Yadav filed a written complaint with Navabad Police Station, alleging that his leave application was deliberately not forwarded to higher authorities. When he confronted the Reversion Inspector about the delay, he claimed he was pushed, abused and even assaulted by the officer.
Feeling threatened, Inspector Yadav dialed 112, a helpline meant for emergencies. The Dial 112 PRV (Police Response Vehicle) team quickly reached the spot, ensured his safety and escorted him to Navabad Police Station.
Allegations and Counterclaims
Inspector Yadav has accused senior officials of harassment, claiming that the incident was not isolated. However, SP (Superintendent of Police) City dismissed these allegations, calling them baseless. He further stated that multiple disciplinary investigations are already ongoing against Yadav, including accusations of indiscipline.
The SP City also alleged that Inspector Yadav had misbehaved with the Reversion Inspector during the incident, further complicating the matter.
Inspector Yadav has submitted his resignation, but it has not yet been accepted. Meanwhile, the Navabad Police is investigating the incident based on his written complaint. This case has raised questions about internal conflicts within the police force and the treatment of officers.
