Vaibhav Shinde, a proud son of Tamaswadi village in Niphad taluka, achieved an extraordinary feat by completing the 4,112 km run from Kashmir to Kanyakumari in 44 days and 17 hours. This incredible accomplishment has been recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records, bringing great pride to Nashik.
Shinde was felicitated at the Indiranagar Jogging Track. The event saw the presence of Nashik Cyclist Foundation vice president Manisha Rowdal, former treasurer Ravindra Dusane, former vice president JS Pawar, active members Sadhana Dusane, Zakir Pathan, Anil Raut, Ramesh Dhotre, Anil Varade, and Indiranagar Jogging Track president Avadhoot Kulkarni.
Other dignitaries like Satish Loharkar, Rajendra Jadhav, Rajesh Khot, Akash Khode, and Nikhil Sarpotdar, along with a large gathering of Nashikkars, also attended the ceremony.
Shinde, recognised as a youth icon, was honoured with a traditional turban, shawl, shreephal, and rose flowers. Additionally, Shiva, a key member of Vaibhav's support team, was also felicitated for his valuable contribution.
During the event, Vaibhav shared his thrilling experience of running from Kashmir to Kanyakumari with the gathered cyclists, inspiring many with his journey.
