A total of 23 senior police inspectors have been transferred within the Pune city police force. This comes days after Ajit Pawar had hinted at shuffle in the police wing following a murder of an IT employee in Yerawada.
The transfers primarily involved inspectors from the traffic, crime, and special branches being reassigned to various city police stations. Senior police inspectors from the police stations were transferred to positions in the special branch, crime branch, and traffic branch.
