Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has promised to double Madhya Pradesh's economy under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Speaking ahead of the seventh Regional Industry Conclave, being organised at University Institute of Technology (UIT) in Shahdol on Thursday, the CM highlighted the state's focus on fostering regional industries through collaboration and cooperation.
Expressing optimism, CM Yadav stated, "I am proud that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, India is advancing economically, and we are committed to doubling Madhya Pradesh’s economy. The Regional Industry Conclave in Shahdol is a major platform for industrial investment at the divisional level. We are engaging with various investors and receiving proposals across multiple sectors, including tourism, health, mining, heavy industries, and MSMEs."
Investment proposals worth over ₹4 lakh crore received so far
CM further informed that the bhoomi pujan and inaugurations of projects linked to earlier investments would also take place during the event. CM highlighting the success of the conclave series, noted that investment proposals worth over ₹4 lakh crore had been received across the six previous editions. These have potential to generate over 3 lakh jobs.
"Madhya Pradesh is poised to establish a unique identity as an economic powerhouse. We are also gearing up for the Global Investor Summit in February, which we hope will surpass all previous records," CM Yadav added.
The seventh edition of the Regional Industry Conclave is expected to host around 4,000 participants, including over 2,000 industrialists.
Event highlights
The event is going to witness policy discussions, innovations, and direct interactions between the Chief Minister and leading industrialists. CM Yadav will also conduct bhoomi pujan for 28 industrial projects during the conclave.
The conclaves serve as a precursor to the "Invest Madhya Pradesh-Global Investor Summit 2025," aimed at positioning Madhya Pradesh as a prime investment destination and showcasing its resources, capabilities, and conducive industrial environment.
The series began with the inaugural conclave in Ujjain in March 2024, followed by editions in Jabalpur (July 2024), Gwalior (August 2024), Sagar (September 2024), Rewa (October 2024), and Narmadapuram (December 2024).
