Actress Avantika Dassani, the daughter of yesteryear actress Bhagyashree, found herself in a sticky situation after she was left stranded at the Goa airport due to a bomb scare on her flight. The flight was delayed for six hours before the actress could finally return to Mumbai.

On Tuesday, Avantika took to her Instagram handle to share a picture from the Goa airport, where several security personnel and airport staff can be seen conducting thorough checks on an aircraft. "So started 2025 with a bomb scare on our flight last night..." she wrote.

The incident reportedly happened on Monday night when Avantika was returning to Mumbai from Goa. Her IndiGo flight fell prey to a fake bomb threat call, due to which it was grounded.

After thorough checks, the flight, which was supposed to land in Mumbai at 10:30 pm, finally reached the city at 3:30 am.

A News18 report quoted a source saying, "The airline received a tip from an unknown source that there’s a bomb on the flight which sent shivers down the spine of each and everyone on the flight and were a part of its operations. After the tip, the passengers were left waiting at the airport. There was a sense of paranoia amongst all the passengers and Avantika’s family members too who were praying for her safe return in Mumbai."

On the work front, Avantika marked her Bollywood deut in 2022 with Mithya. She then starred in Nenu Student Sir! in 2023 and U Shape Ki Gully in 2024.
