While Punekars continue to raise concerns about the dug-up roads and the troubles they face, a shocking incident occurred in the Narhe area of Pune, where a man riding a two-wheeler fell into a drainage pit under construction while trying to avoid it.

Accidents caused by ongoing construction work, including roadworks and drainage projects, are not new in Pune. One such incident took place in Narhe village, where a biker fell into a pit dug for a drainage pipeline. A video of the accident has surfaced, showing that while one side of the road is being worked on, the other side has a large pit left open for the drainage pipeline.

In the video, the biker, attempting to maneuver around the hazard, loses control and falls into the pit along with his bike. Local residents rushed to assist and pulled the injured rider out. The drainage work, being conducted by the Pune Municipal Corporation, has left several pits dug along the roads in the village, resulting in repeated accidents.

Traffic jams in Narhe and Dhayari

The Narhe area, home to several private companies and colleges, experiences heavy traffic from students and young professionals daily. Due to the poorly managed construction work, drivers are forced to navigate around these hazards, often leading to dangerous accidents.

Meanwhile, the Narhe and Dhayari areas are experiencing huge traffic snarls, and Punekars often take to social media to voice their frustrations.

Residents in several areas of Pune are troubled by heavy traffic, and areas like Dhayari and Narhe are no exception. The road connecting Sinhagad Road to Dhayari village and DSK Vishwa township is notorious for traffic congestion.

Recently, on Wednesday, massive traffic snarls were observed, prompting residents to take to social media to voice their frustration. A video, filmed from a building along the road, showing long traffic jams, has since gone viral on social media.
