Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): Four bank employees, including a former manager and supervisor, have been accused of misusing the names of farmers for embezzling money at the Banwar Primary Agricultural Credit Cooperative Society in Gwalior.

It is in the Antari area of Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. The incident is of the Banwar Primary Agricultural Credit Cooperative Society.

They are accused of embezzling money in the names of five farmers.

The case had been under investigation for the past seven months and was filed after the order of the Additional Collector.

The investigation found that money was withdrawn using the name of one farmer who had passed away, and the outstanding amounts of four other farmers were hidden.

Based on a complaint, a team looked into these financial issues.

As a result of the findings, an FIR was registered against four individuals: Balkrishna Choubey, the former manager of the Banwar Primary Agricultural Credit Cooperative Society; Hiralal Sahu, the former manager of the Antari branch of the Cooperative Bank; Ganga Singh Thakur, a supervisor; and Bhagwati Prasad Parashar, a cashier.

These individuals have been charged with misappropriating funds and engaging in fraudulent activities under the names of the farmers. The total embezzled amount was estimated to be around ₹4.5 lakh.
