Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Indore Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava visited Councillor Kamlesh Kalra's residence late on Thursday night. The meeting comes amidst a dispute involving the two BJP corporators. Mayor Bhargava assured Kalra's family that strict action will be taken against the culprits.

Police have already arrested six individuals under the POCSO Act, while 12 others have been identified. Bhargav promised stringent action against all culprits shown in the video.

Speaking to media persons outside the residence, Bhargav condemned the attack, stating, "Entering someone's home and attacking them is unfortunate. Strict action must be taken." He revealed he had spoken to Kalra over the phone both on the day of the incident and the following day, assuring him of full support. He also highlighted that he saw the video that went viral, and he condemns the actions.

On ensuring harmony between municipal employees and leaders, Bhargav said, "Officials and staff have been instructed to listen to representatives seriously and respond calmly. Representatives should also avoid inappropriate language during disagreements."

Yadav Community Denies Link to Viral Letter on Jeetu Yadav’s Identity

The Yadav community has also stepped into the controversy. A letter claiming Corporator Jeetu Yadav belongs to the Jatav community, not the Yadavs, went viral. It alleged misuse of the Yadav surname by Jeetu Yadav, who contested from an SC-reserved ward. Subhash Yadav, President of the Akhil Bharatvarshiya Yadav Mahasabha, denied issuing the letter, stating it was under investigation.
