Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Raja Bhoj Airport administration has written a letter to the civil aviation ministry for the start of a direct flight from Bhopal to Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, on January 13 because of Maha Kumbh Mela. Currently, there is a flight from Bhopal-Prayag Raj with 40-45minutes halt in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

Airport Director Ramji Awasthi informed Free Press, “We have written a letter to the Civil Aviation ministry for the start of direct flight from Bhopal –Prayag Raj(Uttar Pradesh) from January 13.  At present, there is a flight via Raipur.”

Currently, direct flights are operating from Prayagraj to various cities including Delhi, Bilaspur, Bangalore, Mumbai, Bhubaneswar, Raipur, Lucknow, and Hyderabad.

Special Trains to run from Bhopal for Mahakumbh

A special train for the Mahakumbh Mela numbered 07083/07084, will run between Machilipatnam and Azamgarh, will make a stop at Itarsi station, part of the Bhopal Division.

It will make the travel smooth and convenient for passengers going to Prayagraj.

Train 07083 (Machilipatnam to Azamgarh)
Train number 07083 will depart from Machilipatnam station on February 5, 2025, at 10:00 PM. It will pass through several stations, including Itarsi, and reach Azamgarh station on the following day at 5:40 PM.

The entire journey will take approximately 18 hours and 40 minutes.

Train 07084 (Azamgarh to Machilipatnam)
On the return journey, Train number 07084 will depart from Azamgarh station on February 7, 2025, at 7:45 PM. The train will travel via Itarsi and other stations, reaching Machilipatnam on the third day at 9:00 AM.

The entire journey will take about 12 hours, with the train scheduled to arrive at Machilipatnam at 3:40 PM the following day.
