Residents in several areas of Pune are troubled by heavy traffic. Areas like Dhayari and Narhe are no exception to it. The road connecting Sinhagad Road to inside Dhayari village and DSK Viswha township is known for traffic congestion.

On Wednesday, huge traffic snarls were observed, and residents took to social media to voice their frustration. The video, taken from a building on the road, showing long traffic snarls, has now gone viral on social media.

Taking to social media, the netizen wrote, "Today, once again, the entire Dhayari is jammed and the administration is waiting for people to die." He posted the video with the caption.

President Murmu had recently issued direction to state secretary on the pending road in area

In response, another user pointed out that a similar situation occurs almost daily on most of the roads along the Katraj-Dehuroad bypass service roads during peak hours. He also posted the video of the traffic.

Because of the absence of traffic enforcement and malfunctioning lights, traffic has become a major issue in the area. Roads like Dhayari Village Road, Dhayari-Narhe Road, Nanded Phata to Nanded City Gate, and Lagad Mala to Dhayari Phata are severely congested as a result. Despite the fact that Dhayari had four DP roads planned 28 years ago, not much has changed.

It should be noted that recently, President of India Draupadi Murmu directed the chief secretary of the state to take action on the development plan (DP) roads in Dhayari that are pending for more than 28 years.

The President also sent a letter to Dhananjay Benkar, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) city president, briefing him about the directions issued to the state government to address the problem. Benkar had highlighted the issue of the traffic in his letter.
