In a dramatic turn of events, Educator and YouTuber Faisal Khan, popularly known as Khan Sir, was forced to flee a protest by students demanding the cancellation of the 70th BPSC Integrated Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2024.
The protest, which has been ongoing for the past nine days, intensified when students chased Khan Sir away, accusing him of hijacking their protest.
Khan Sir's Attempt to Address the Protesters Backfires
Khan Sir had joined the protesting students to show solidarity with their demand for a re-examination after allegations of a paper leak surfaced.
However, as captured in a video shared by NDTV, protesters were seen shouting, “You have hijacked our protest,” leading Khan Sir to assess the situation and leave the protest area.

Another video shared by ETV Bharat showed a student expressing fury towards Khan Sir, stating, "He is running his shop here... We are capable of handling our protest. We don't need Khan Sir to tell us where to put our demands." The protestors emphasised their frustration, rejecting any external interference in their movement.
Students Demand Re-Examination Amid Alleged Paper Leak
The protest against the BPSC CCE 2024 exam began on December 13, with hundreds of students, mostly civil services aspirants, sitting in a dharna at Gardanibagh, Patna. They are calling for the cancellation of the exam due to claims of a paper leak, though the BPSC has firmly rejected the idea of canceling the examination.
In an emotional statement, Khan Sir voiced his support for the students, demanding that the commission conduct a more challenging examination. “We are not running away from this. We are saying that take a difficult examination and do not give children's questions... the questions in our class tests are more difficult than this,” Khan Sir said.
He further raised concerns about the handling of evidence, including CCTV footage, and indicated plans to approach the Supreme Court and President of India to address the issue.
"Why did the commission hide the evidence and CCTV footage? Many things have come out which are a matter of investigation... We will go to the Supreme Court, we will even tell the President what is happening in Bihar... First, the country's GDP fell, then the bridge in Bihar collapsed and now BPSC has collapsed," he added.
Meanwhile, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also expressed solidarity with the students.
In a tweet, Gandhi likened the paper leak scandal to the story of Eklavya and condemned the NDA government’s response to the protests, which has included police lathi-charges on students. “Playing with the future of students will not be tolerated. We are with them and will fight to get them justice,” he stated.
The situation remains tense as the protesting students continue to demand justice and transparency from the BPSC.
