The DASA Scheme (Direct Admission of Students Abroad) by the Ministry of Education offers an excellent opportunity for international students, Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), and Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) to gain admission to top-tier engineering institutions in India.
What is the DASA Scheme?
Launched in 2001, the DASA scheme is designed to help overseas students get admission to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) engineering programs at prestigious institutions such as National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), SPAs, and other centrally funded technical institutions. It provides a platform for foreign nationals and Indians living abroad to study in India’s best technical universities.
