In 2020, when the covid pandemic swept across the world, and brought it to a hardstop and a standstill, almost all major sectors across the business board suffered.

And when we look at the performance of the top hospitality stocks in India, the progress made in the recent past is pretty evident. This progress is also about bringing home some major returns to the investors as well.
Indian Hotels Company Ltd
On top we have the Tata Group's Indian Hotels. The hospitality company's stock has risen by a whopping 97.46 per cent or Rs 425.45.
This has taken the overall value of the shares, of the owners of the Taj Hotel chains to Rs 862.00 per share for the investor.
EIH Ltd
When we come to EIH Ltd, the group that runs the renowned Oberoi chain of Hotels also saw its shares rise in the span of the past year of trade.
Investors, who put their resources into the company saw a rise of 70.29 per cent or Rs 169.65 in their investment, over the year. This took the overall of each individual share to Rs 411.00 per share.
Chalet Hotels Ltd
The K Raheja group-owned Chalet Hotels also saw their shares jump over the past year, giving positive returns to investors.
From previous December until now, the shares grew by 50.17 per cent or Rs 326.05. This took the overall value of the company shares to Rs 975.90.
Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd
Another popular chain of hotels, the New Delhi-based Lemon Tree Hotels also saw its shares surge in the past year. Compared to the aforementioned companies, the surge is relatively low.
As the year comes to a close, the Lemon Tree Hotel shares surged 25.57 per cent or Rs 30.80. This took the value of each individual shares to Rs 151.25.
Juniper Hotels Ltd
The story however, was a little different for investors of Juniper hotels, as the company shares declined over the past year.
The investors are likely to end the year with negative returns. The overall value of Juniper Hotels shares reduced to Rs 343.00. This happened after a decline of 14.57 per cent or Rs 58.50.
