Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The mutilated body of a newborn child was found in the ground after locals found some stray dogs mutilating it and subsequently informed the police, an officer said. The body was found at 7:15 pm on Monday near Bholaram Compound, Palda under Bhanwarkuan police station limits.
ACP Devendra Singh Dhurve said that it appears that some unidentified people had dumped the newborn baby in an isolated area of the ground, after which the stray dogs mauled the infant's body. In the absence of CCTVs in the area, it is difficult to trace the person who dumped the body. Its head, hands and half of the torso were lying on the spot and the rest of the body was torn apart and eaten by dogs, added the ACP.
Police have registered a case against an unidentified person under section 50 of BNS and further investigation is underway. As per section 50 of the BNS, whoever abets the commission of an offence shall, if the person abetted does the act with a different intention or knowledge from that of the abettor, be punished with the punishment provided for the offence which would have been committed if the act had been done with the intention or knowledge of the abettor and with no other.
