Bipolar Patient Attacks Female Resident Doctor In Hamidia Hospital

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A bipolar patient attacked a female resident doctor at the emergency department of Hamidia Hospital prompting the Junior Doctors Association (JUDA) protest and writing to GMC dean over doctors' safety.

JUDA president Dr Kuldeep Gupta said that JUDA has written to GMC dean Dr Kavita Singh over the attack on female resident doctor. She was not only physically assaulted but also subjected to verbal abuses, the GMC dean should take action in this regard, said Gupta.

“If someone is suffering from bipolar disorder (a mental illness) that causes extreme shifts in mood, energy, and activity levels, they can become aggressive and attack doctors and in that case we cannot do anything,” he said. Gupta further said that JUDA has demanded compliance with pass-system and fixing time for attendants’ visit.    

Conmen Dupe Man Of Rs 50K

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Conmen duped a man of Rs 50k in cash on pretext of selling construction material at low rates. An FIR has been registered at Parvalia Sadak police station on complaint of the victim. As per reports, trader Dibesh Vaidh deals in construction material.

On December 13, Dibesh received a call from two unidentified numbers. The callers claimed that they sell construction material in wholesale. They offered Dibesh to send iron rods and cement at low rates.

They fooled Dibesh to transfer cash of Rs 50k in their bank account through a QR code sent through WhatsApp.

Dibesh approached police after realising that he has been duped. Police officials said that an FIR has been registered on Monday following investigations and further investigations were being carried out.
