Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): In the raid against three builders and a land dealer, the Income Tax (I-T) department has recovered vast amount of incriminating documents. From the house of a land dealer in Gwalior, IT officers recovered piles of documents which are related to land purchased by officers.
Sources added that in the raid against three builders and a land dealer, even the records related to the bribe amount has been seized by IT officers. IT officials have also unearthed several properties which involves huge cash component. For instance, a land of Rs 50 crore was purchased in Chandanpura.
Meanwhile, IT department came to know that Rajesh Sharma is having around seven to eight plots in Central Park. He had purchased plots in the name of his wife and other family members. Now, IT department is going to issue attachment notices in this regard.
Ratibad, Neelbad, Mendori becomes hub of investment
Income Tax officials have found that outskirts area of Bhopal, particularly Ratibad, Mendori, Neelbad is becoming a centre of investment for many bureaucrats.
Another FIR against
Shevani The IT department is all set to file another FIR against Rupam Shevani on the charge of obstructing government work. Earlier, an FIR was filed against Rupam Shevani for breaking mobile phone during the raid.
Bone of contention
I-T officers also came to know that Sharad Jaiswal and Sourabh Sharma have opened a restaurant in Chunna Bhatti. They have opened the restaurant in the name of their wives and mothers. Some differences cropped up between them over the restaurant and it became a bone of contention.
