Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A tragic incident was reported from Madhya Pradesh’s Indore city on Sunday, where a police constable was found hanging at a bank’s guard room on Sunday morning.
The incident came to fore after the colleagues found him hanging from a noose and informed the police about the incident.
According to information, the deceased has been identified as Mukesh Lodhi who was posted at the UCO Bank guard room on Sapna Sangeeta Road in the city.
Lodhi was transferred to guard room 1.5 years ago
Mukesh Lodhi was previously posted at Vijay Nagar police station, but he was transferred a year and a half ago after a complaint related to a betting case involving minor boys.
An investigation was ongoing into his involvement in the case, which allegedly had caused him significant stress. Former TI Ravindra Gurjar and two other police personnel are also under investigation in connection with the matter.
Mukesh Lodhi was originally from Gwalior. He had joined the police force in 2013. He is survived by his wife and children.
The Junior Indore Police confirmed that no suicide note was found at the scene and are currently investigating the reasons behind his suicide. His family has been notified, and the body has been sent for a post-mortem examination.
