Ashwini Vaishnaw, on Minister of Railways, presented 22 Shields to Zonal Railways including Central Railway for Outstanding performance and awarded 101 deserving Railway employees for meritorious and commendable performance in various categories at the 69th Railway Week “Ati Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar (AVRSP) Function-2024 held on 21st December 2024 at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
"It was a proud moment for Central Railway as Dharam Veer Meena, General Manager received the prestigious Govind Vallabh Pant Shield for overall efficiency in addition to 5 departmental shields at the hands of Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister of Railways" said an official.
The Minister also presented individual awards to 7 Central Railway Officials for commendable performance.
"Dharam Veer Meena, General Manager, Central Railway received the prestigious Govind Vallabh Pant Shield along with Jagmohan Garg, Additional General Manager & Principal Chief Materials Manager for overall efficiency among all railway zones (Jointly with North Eastern Railway). These awards reflect the dedication, hard work, and innovative approaches of Central Railway's workforce in achieving operational and administrative excellence" he said.
The General Manager of CR also received 5 Shields along the Principal Head of respective Departments.
Traffic Transportation Shield along with S S Gupta, Principal Chief Operations Manager -Awarded for highlighting Central Railways' exceptional efforts in managing transportation systems efficiently
Stores Shield along with Jagmohan Garg, Principal Chief Materials Manager-Awarded for outstanding performance in inventory management and procurement practices.Environment & Cleanliness Shield along with Subodh Kumar Sagar, Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer -Awarded for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and eco-friendly practices across its jurisdiction.Electrical Engineering Shield along with Shivram, Principal Chief Electrical Engineer----Awarded for excellence in electrical engineering operations and innovations. (Jointly with East Coast Railway)Civil Engineering Construction Shield along with Avanish Kumar Pandey, Chief Administrative Officer( Construction) --Awarded for significant contributions to infrastructure development (Jointly with South Central and East Central Railways)For the year 2024, services of 7 Central Railway Officials (2 officers and 5 staff) were also recognised with the coveted honour.
Its includes Hemant Jindal, Dy.Chief Vigilance Officer, has been awarded for new innovation / process/ procedures leading to economies in expenditure, improvement in productivity, import substitution etc.
Sudha Vedprakash Dwivedi, Train Ticket Inspector, has been awarded for her special efforts towards increasing earnings and tackle ticketless travel.
Rahul Agarwal, Sr.Divisional Engineer, and Milind Khadakkar, Station Superintendent, and Sanjiv Kautik Patil, Senior Technician (Electronic Signal Maintainer) and Pavan Nina Firake, Assistant/ C&W (Khalasi Helper) have been awarded for exemplary work done to improve operations, security, safety, better maintenance and utilization of assets.
Apart from that V M Mashidkar, Chief Depot Material Superintendent has been awarded for completion of projects etc in record time.
