Maharashtra Assembly polls: On 85 seats, it is SS v/s SS or NCP v/s NCP
Two Shiv Senas and two Nationalist Congress Parties (NCPs) are in the fray in Maharashtra Assembly polls. On 49 seats, the electorate have the choice to elect their faction of Shiv Sena as the party led by Eknath Shinde and Shiv Sena (UBT) led by Uddhav Thackeray are face to face. On 36 other seats, voters can choose from either the NCP led by Ajit Pawar or NCP (SP) of Sharad Pawar. Thus, on a total 85 segments, it is Shiv Sena v/s Shiv Sena or NCP v/s NCP.

Five-member SC Collegium reconstituted, headed by CJI Khanna
The five-member Supreme Court collegium, which makes recommendations for the appointment of Supreme Court judges, and the three-member collegium, responsible for recommending appointments to High Courts, have been reconstituted following the retirement of Chief Justice DY Chandrachud on November 10. Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna, who took charge on Monday, now heads both the collegiums. Justice AS Oka has joined as a new member of the collegium.The five-member collegium includes Justice BR Gavai, Justice Suryakant, Justice Hrishikesh Roy, and Justice AS Oka, alongside Chief Justice Khanna. The three-member collegium for High Court appointments comprises Chief Justice Khanna, Justice BR Gavai, and Justice Suryakant.
JPC on Waqf further study tours postponed
The Lok Sabha secretariat has postponed the proposed further study tours of JPC on Waqf. The tour was proposed to Kolkata, Patna and Lucknow from November 12-14. Some opposition members recently met Speakers and raised that the Chairperson has made the mockery of the tours.

Work allocation made among AlGFs in MoEF&CC
The work allocation has been made among the AlGFs in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC). Ms Suveena Thakur will look after the work of EAP Division and will also handle the additional work of CAMPA, while Amit Anand will handle the work of FC Division and also assist in Parivesh, Pragati, PMG, Mission Karmayogi and Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam. Besides, Sangeeta Mahala has been allocated work of RT Division.
