NBCC (India) Limited, on the occasion of ‘Swachhta Hi Seva’ organised a plantation and ploughing drive at its headquarters on 02.10.2024. K.P. Mahadevaswamy, CMD, NBCC, Shi Saleem Ahmad, Director (Projects), Suman Kumar, Director (Commercial) along with other senior officials of NBCC led the plantation and plogging drive. On this occasion, NBCC remembered Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri on their birth anniversaries.

NBCC is committed to the National cleanliness drive and has actively participated in the Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) campaign. The initiative, which ran from September 17 to October 2, 2024, celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Swachh Bharat Mission with the aim of inspiring voluntary ‘Shram Daan’ activities and promoting collective responsibility for cleanliness among citizens.

As part of its efforts, NBCC has adopted several Cleanliness Target Units (CTUs) near its project sites across the country. This initiative reflects NBCC’s ongoing dedication to environmental sustainability and community engagement. With a total of 221 CTUs, NBCC has made significant strides in ensuring desired cleanliness outcomes. Role of senior officials of NBCC was instrumental in driving these efforts which were spread across various parts of India.

NBCC’s focus during the campaign has not only been on cleaning public spaces but also on fostering a sense of responsibility and sustainable cleanliness practices within the communities surrounding its project sites. NBCC remains dedicated to upholding the ideals of the campaign and contributing to a cleaner, healthier India for the future.
