The first phase of the second edition of the IDE Boot Camp, jointly organized by the Innovation Cell of Ministry of Education and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), will be inaugurated on Monday, 23rd September 2024, at 9:30 AM. AICTE Chairman, Prof. T.G. Sitharam, will be present as the chief guest via video conference. Among institutions from Maharashtra, the Institute of Management and Research of MGM University has been given the exclusive opportunity to host this boot camp.

The inaugural ceremony, which will take place at MGM University’s Rukmini Auditorium, will be attended by university dignitaries, including Chancellor Ankushrao Kadam, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Vilas Sapkal, Registrar Dr. Ashish Gadekar, Director Dr. Ranit Kishore, faculty members, and all concerned parties.

Envisioned by our esteemed Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, the "Innovation, Design, and Entrepreneurship (IDE, Bootcamp" Second Edition – Phase I is set to launch on 23rd September 2024. This unique initiative, spearheaded by the Ministry of Education, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and the Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell (MIC), aims to nurture the innovation, design, and entrepreneurial skills of student innovators across India.

Success of the First Edition

Building on the remarkable success of the first edition of the IDE Bootcamp, where 25 Bootcamps were organized across three phases over 6000 students were trained. The skills they acquired during these sessions have already begun to yield results, with many participants now actively developing innovative products with a strong focus on design and market viability.

Participant Overview

The IDE Bootcamp Second Edition is set to engage over 3000 student innovators and Innovation Ambassadors from higher education institutions across the country. Scheduled from 23rd to 27th September 2024, this five-day event will provide an immersive experience aimed at developing key skills in innovation, design, and entrepreneurship.

8) Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM), Visakhapatnam

9) IIM Sambhalpur, Sambalpur

National and international experts focusing on product design, ergonomics, and design thinking, and pitching skills will guide participants through intensive training sessions. Startup founders and business leaders will also deliver motivational talks, sharing their real-world experiences and insights. The Wadhwani Foundation continues its collaboration in this edition by providing expert-led entrepreneurship education and excellent training modules. This partnership aims to equip participants with the skills needed to thrive in today’s rapidly changing business environment.
