South Western Railway begins the Swachhata Hi Seva 2024, a two-week-long cleanliness drive, which will run from September 17 to October 1st October 2024.

As part of the nationwide "Swachhata Hi Seva 2024" campaign, South Western Railway (SWR) organized a special event on 17/09/2024 at Rail Soudha, Headquarters, to promote cleanliness and environmental sustainability.

As part of the programme General Manager Arvind Srivastava administered the "Swachhata Pledge" to officers and staff of Rail Soudha, encouraging everyone to uphold cleanliness in their surroundings and in their daily lives.

As part of the broader Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign, this initiative will engage Railway employees and the public in efforts to enhance cleanliness across Railway stations, trains, offices and other Railway premises.

In alignment with the campaign theme "Swabhav Swachhata - Sanskaar Swachhata," the event emphasized not only physical cleanliness but also the clean habits as a part of one's values. General Manager highlighted the importance of a clean and hygienic environment for both personal well-being and the overall development of the nation.

As part of the event, a tree plantation drive under the campaign "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" was also organized, where General Manager Arvind Srivastava planted a sapling to mark the occasion. This initiative reaffirmed South Western Railway's commitment to a cleaner and greener environment. The tree plantation serves as a step towards sustainability, furthering the organization's focus on environmental conservation.
