ESOP Scholarship:
The purpose of the ESOP is to support students who have excelled academically while pursuing a bachelor's degree. Selected students are given access to a network of mentors and professionals connected to the ETH Foundation in addition to a complete grant that covers living expenses and tuition. Selection Process: Phone or video interviews may be conducted in February 2025.

Scholarship benefits:
Living and Study Expenses: The Master's program costs CHF 12,000 per semester, which helps pay for housing, food, and other living expenses.
Full waiver of tuition expenses is offered for the length of the Master's program, which normally consists of three or four semesters.
Mentoring and Networking: The ETH Foundation offers its professional network to scholars, which can be very helpful for their academic and professional development.
Eligibility criteria:
Academic Excellence for a Bachelor's Degree: Students must rank in the top 10% of their program, or receive an A.
Candidates for the Master's Program: Only applicants for an ETH Zurich master's program, including ETH bachelor's students transferring into a subsequent master's degree, are eligible for this scholarship. Individuals who possess a Master's degree or are currently enrolled in a Master's program are not qualified.
Application Requirement: In accordance with academic integrity and scientific citation guidelines, the applicant must include a pre-proposal for their Master's thesis with their application.
How to apply for the scholarship:
The ESOP application process is managed using ETH Zurich's eApply system (https://www.lehrbetrieb.ethz.ch/eApply/ealogin.view?lang=en), which is also used for Master's programme applications.
Documents requirement:
Applicants must submit a pre-proposal for their Master's thesis that describes their research ideas.
If the program does not need references, candidates should offer the names of two professors who can submit reference letters on their behalf.
Selection process:
Annually, approximately 60 scholarships are offered, depending on available resources. The admissions committees of the individual Master's programmes undertake the evaluation, and the Rector of ETH Zurich makes the final decision. Applicants will be notified of their scholarship decision by the end of March 2025.
