Governor Ganesan, DGP Sharma exhort personnel to exhibit unyielding spirit of police force DIMAPUR — The 40th edition of the Nagaland Police Duty-cum-Sports Meet 2022 was officially kicked off by Governor of Nagaland, La. Ganesan at the Nagaland Armed Police Training Centre (NAPTC) stadium, Chümoukedima, on Thursday. This year’s edition, a total of 2029 officers representing 34 different units of Nagaland Police, will be participating in four games – football, volleyball, boxing and badminton – and eight duty items, namely shooting, drill, BPET, motor transport, scientific aid to investigation, weapon handling, bugle and wireless. The teams will be competing for 154 medals, 12 trophies and the overall champions’ trophy. Addressing the opening ceremony as special guest, Ganesan said that the meet is not just an event but a celebration of dedication, skill and the unyielding spirit of the police force. He exhorted the participants by saying that, be it in athletics or duty competitions, the values of integrity, teamwork and resilience should always come to the fore.
