DIMAPUR — During the third day of the ongoing Northeast Zone (Men’s) Football Tournament, Nagaland University secured its place among the semi-finalists. The matches, played at the Dr. T Ao Football Ground in Lumami, Nagaland, saw Dibrugarh University from Assam defeat Royal Global University 1-0. Meanwhile, the National Sports University (NSU) from Manipur secured a dominant 11-0 victory over Sikkim Manipal University, according to an update. Dhanamanjuri University from Manipur secured their semi-final spot after a dramatic penalty shootout victory over Mizoram University, winning 4-3 after a 1-1 draw in regular time. With these results, Nagaland University, along with Dibrugarh University, National Sports University, and Dhanamanjuri University, secured their places in the semi-finals. The tournament is set to continue until November 15. This year’s tournament is particularly significant as it is being hosted for the first time by Nagaland University.
