IMPHAL — Squadron Leader Rajkumar Herojit won two gold medals and a silver medal at the 24th National Para Swimming Championship, held in Panjim, Goa, from October 19 to 22. Herojit secured gold in both the men’s 100-metre breaststroke SB4 event and the 50-metre breaststroke SB4 event, and he earned silver in the 200-metre individual medley SM5. With only three individual events allowed per athlete, Herojit medalled in all three events he participated in. Herojit is currently serving with the Indian Air Force (IAF). He dedicated his victory to the IAF, the services team, his coaches, his family, and the people of Manipur. It may be mentioned that Squadron Leader Rajkumar Herojit represented India at the 4th Asian Para Games held in Hangzhou, China, last year.
