DIMAPUR — A total of 12 contestants would vie for the 11th edition of Naga Chef culinary competition 2024. The contestants were selected from the screening rounds, who have demonstrated exceptional culinary skills and a deep understanding of Naga cuisine. An update stated that the selected contestants have participated in an orientation session at the State Institute of Hotel Management, Dimapur, on Saturday. The session equipped them with the necessary knowledge and insights to excel in the competition. Organised by Synergy Group Enterprise and supported by the Department of Tourism, Government of Nagaland, this year’s competition promised to be a spectacular showcase of the region’s rich culinary heritage. It mentioned that Naga Chef is the first of its kind culinary skills competition in Nagaland, aimed at increasing appreciation for Nagaland’s unique indigenous cuisine and providing a platform for entrepreneurial Naga chefs. With a grand prize of INR 3 lakh, the event not only highlights culinary talents but also nurtures the entrepreneurial spirit among the participants, it stated.
