DIMAPUR — While acknowledging the challenging terrain of road connectivity, Nagaland Governor, La. Ganesan, on Saturday assured to provide good road connectivity in border areas soon. He has lauded the progress in road construction by PWD and NHIDCL. The governor made this assurance this during a meeting held at Tourist Lodge in Noklak town. He expressed happiness on visiting the district and emphasised his commitment to interacting with the people across all districts of Nagaland. He highlighted that Noklak, which was established as a district on December 21, 2017, is still in its developmental phase and expressed optimism about the district’s progress and its potential to match with other districts in infrastructure and growth, a DIPR report stated. ‘Stressing on the importance of healthcare for the district’s future, he encouraged implementation of health schemes such as Ayushman Bharat, Pradhan Mantri Bima Yojana, and the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme. He also highlighted the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, which aimed at eradicating tuberculosis (TB) by 2025, and urged awareness and action from the district health authority.
