DIMAPUR — The district administration of Peren organised a farewell programme in honour of the outgoing Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Peren, Japheth Woch, at the DC conference hall in Peren on Wednesday. In his farewell speech, Woch said he had the privilege of working in Peren district for around nine months under two DCs, facing two elections. He attributed the successful conduct of the most recent election to the former DC, the AEO, and all the staff involved. A DIPR report stated that he also expressed sincere thanks to the Dobashis and all his staff for always being available when needed. He further encouraged them to continue their support for the DC, the incoming ADC, and all the officers with the same attitude in the future. He further commended the DC for taking up various initiatives, such as the adoption of schools and villages, which he hoped would help move the district forward. In his speech, Deputy Commissioner of Peren, Hiazu Meru, lauded the outgoing ADC for his service and described him as someone who is straightforward and possesses the noble quality of humility.
