DIMAPUR — The monthly Mokokchung District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held on Wednesday at the deputy commissioner’s conference hall, Mokokchung, under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner and vice chairman of Mokokchung DPDB, Thsuvisie Phoji. According to a DIPR report, during the discussion hour, the house decided to recommend and forward the recognition of Tsungur village under Ongpangkong, Mokokchung, and Kangtsung-Rongpang village under Tuli Sub-division, Mokokchung, to the concerned authorities. The house also decided to recommend the registration of the Hills Tribe Foundation, Mokokchung. Deliberating on the participation of government establishments in the Cherry Blossom Festival at Longkhum village, the DC urged all departments to come forward and participate in the festival to encourage the local tourism sector. During the meeting, the DC also informed the members about the visit of the Minister of State for Home Affairs, Government of India, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, to the district on November 19. In this regard, he informed all stakeholders of their participation.
