DIMAPUR — District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Chiechama, in collaboration with the Sub-Divisional Educational Officer (SDEO), Tseminyu, conducted an online quiz competition on Tuesday at EBRC Hall in Tseminyu town. Kerüpfü Rüpreo, additional director of SCERT and special guest of the programme, has acknowledged the role of stakeholders in the teaching-learning process with mutual cooperation and support. She motivated the students to reap the full advantage of the digital world stating that “one should control the technology rather than letting technology to dominate.” She disclosed that SCERT Nagaland is in the process of digitising the school textbooks in the DIKSHA portal, whereby students could access the digital forms of textbooks through their smart phones or laptops. This in return, she said, would reduce the burden of heavy school bags carried by the students. Delivering the keynote address, Achile Thong, principal of DIET Chiechama, stated that online quiz competition was meant for the adults in order build their knowledge and skills.
