KOHIMA — The three-day Mission Conference 2024 of the Chakhesang Baptist Church Council (CBCC), themed “God’s mission, our task,” concluded on Sunday at Phek Town Baptist Church. The Sunday worship service on November 10 saw an attendance of around 7,000 congregants, including 1,437 registered delegates comprising reverends, pastors, youth leaders, children’s teachers, women pastors, church leaders, and 38 missionaries. Rev. Dr. Zelhou Keyho, general secretary of the Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC), spoke on the topic “God’s mission, soul winning” and highlighted that the greatest gift foreign missionaries provided was the word of God. He emphasised that building churches, establishing schools, and raising leaders were secondary to the primary task of sharing God’s word. Rev. Keyho also encouraged the missionaries present not to be discouraged if they did not witness immediate results in their mission, reminding them that their role was to share the word of God, while the Holy Spirit was responsible for changing hearts.
