DIMAPUR — A handloom exhibition commenced at Urban Haat on Monday, inaugurated by Prasiele Pienyu, managing director of Nagaland Handloom and Handicrafts Development Corporation (NHHDC) Ltd., Dimapur. It will conclude on November 17. According to an update, the exhibition is being organised by the NHHDC Ltd. and sponsored by the Office of the Development Commissioner (Handlooms), Ministry of Textiles, New Delhi. Altogether, there are 60 participants from Assam, Kashmir, and various districts of Nagaland, exhibiting a variety of handloom, khadi, and handicraft products. The main objective of the exhibition is to develop and promote marketing channels in domestic and export markets, creating a linkage between the two in a holistic and integrated manner, it said, adding that it also serves to provide marketing opportunities for handicraft artisans.
