DIMAPUR — Assam Rifles organised ‘A day with company commander’ for the students of St. Francis High School at Tenning village, Peren district, on the theme “Inspiring Young Minds” on Thursday. According to an update, the initiative aimed to nurture future generations by empowering youth with knowledge, patriotism, teamwork values, and skills to drive positive change among the students. The event witnessed the participation of 200 students and 15 teachers from the school. Various activities were conducted to highlight the importance of maintaining a healthy body and mind in the current scenario. These activities included interactions, a screening of a motivational movie to encourage students to join the Armed Forces, and various sports activities. Assam Rifles also conducted an awareness lecture on ‘World Food Day’ at Middle Primary School, Doyapur, Chümoukedima, on October 16. The event witnessed the participation of 50 students and three teachers, along with personnel from Assam Rifles. During the lecture, solutions to the prevalent problems of food were discussed.
