DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Joint Christian Forum (NJCF) on Thursday celebrated its 25th anniversary at the NBCC Platinum Hall in Bayavü, Kohima, on the theme “Fostering unity in Christ.” An update from the forum stated that the event marked 25 years of uniting Christian denominations across Nagaland. NJCF president and NBCC general secretary, Rev. Dr. Zelhou Keyho, described the gathering as a significant milestone, noting the challenge of bringing together members from all denominations. “It’s not easy to gather even 20 people, but today we are here in hundreds,” he said, emphasising the rarity of such an event. Looking to the future, Keyho expressed hope that the NJCF’s legacy would be carried forward by younger generations, envisioning an even larger gathering for its 50th anniversary. He called for greater inclusion of women in the forum, stressing that its future would be shaped by the involvement of both women and men. In his sermon, Keyho reflected on the NJCF’s biblical foundation and urged the church to act as stewards of God’s creation.
