DIMAPUR — The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Kohima, kicked off its two-day Mega Job Fair 2024 across its centres in Nagaland including Kohima, Dimapur and Chuchuyimlang, on Thursday. According to a DIPR report, the large-scale event aims to bridge the gap between job seekers and employers, drawing significant participation from various industries and aspiring young professionals seeking employment opportunities. Director of NIELIT Kohima, L Lanuwabang, in his keynote address at the inaugural programme of the job fair, emphasised the importance of reskilling and upskilling in an evolving job market, particularly as automation and artificial intelligence (AI) continue to reshape industries. He urged job seekers and aspiring young professionals to stay agile and future-ready, stressing the need to adapt to new fields of work. Lanuwabang also highlighted the necessity of IT and technology skills in every business and industry.
