Sri Vijaya Puram, April 1: A murder case was registered at PS Aberdeen in the year 1996 against accused S. Murugan, now 48 years old S/o Late K. Sathappan R/o Round Basti, Sri Vijaya Puram. After getting bail, the accused shifted at Tamil Nadu and did not appear in the Hon’ble Court. Subsequently, Warrant of Arrest was issued against him.

A team consisting of Sub Inspector P.K Jabbar, Head Constable V. Karthikai Raju, Muthu Kumar and Constable Jairaj has been deputed to Tamil Nadu to arrest the accused person. The team working in coordination with the local police carried out an extensive search. Their diligent efforts paid off when they successfully located and arrested the accused, S. Murugan (48 yrs) S/o Late K. Sathappan R/o 3A, Kadambur, Sriuvayal, Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu and brought him to Sri Vijaya Puram on 29/03/2025.
