Sri Vijaya Puram, March 27: In a significant welfare initiative, the A&N Police had entered a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the State Bank of India on 25^th January 2023 to extend the benefits of the Police Salary Package to   all   its   staff.   This   comprehensive package includes 'Accidental Insurance of Rs. 40 lakhs in the event of an unfortunate demise.

In a poignant example, the claim for accidental insurance following the tragic demise of Late Leela Devi, HG(R)/254 who lost her life in a road accident, has been efficiently processed as the maiden case under this package.  The deceased’s legal heir Smti. Seema Devi W/o Aman Kumar R/o South Point received a sum of Rs.  40.00 lakhs under the ‘Police Salary Package on 21^st March 2025.
