Swaraj Dweep, Oct. 22: On 21^st October, 2024, the Swaraj Dweep Police conducted a successful raid, resulting in the seizure of 0.30 CBM illegal padauk timber, worth Approximately Rs. 30,000/- and the detention of two individuals.

Acting on credible information, A Police team was swiftly constituted, led by ASI Shiv Shankar Singh alongwith HC Anoon Pradeep Toppo, PC Prashant deep dung dung, CTs Mahesh Babu, Mahesh Singh and PC(D) Tintus Tirkey. The team reached the spot and raided the premises of (01) Ramesh Mondal S/o Shri Ravi Mondal  Pvt. Driver R/o Nimbudera now at Lakki Basti, Shyam Nagar No-4, Swaraj Dweep (02) Rabindra Bepari S/o Late Ratan Bepari  Private carpenter Nimbudera now at Lakki Basti, Shyam Nagar No-4, Swaraj Dweep. During the raid, 27 pieces of hand-sawn padauk timber were recovered and seized on the spot. The two individuals were detained and subsequently brought to Swaraj Dweep Police Station.
