Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 21: The A&N Police solemnly observed the National Police Commemoration Day on October 21^st paying tribute to all the brave Police personnel who laid down their lives during the line of duty across the country.

In honour of the Martyrs a Commemoration day Parade was held at Parade Ground Police Lines, in which Smt. Sindhu Pillai A, Inspector General of Police and other senior officers of A&N Police were present and participated in the wreath-laying ceremony. During the parade the IGP (ANI) read out the names of 216 Police personnel including Smt. Leela Devi, Ex Home Guard of Andaman & Nicobar Police, to acknowledge and pay obeisance for the supreme sacrifice made by them. Besides, the families of our brave martyrs, the retired DySsP and Inspectors were also present for the event and paid homage to the brave souls.
