Kamorta, Oct. 20: In a significant anti-poaching operation, the Anti-Poaching Team of Police Station Teressa had successfully apprehended eight Myanmarese poachers near Bambooka Island on 17th August 2024. The poachers were subsequently booked under the Foreigners Act, 1946, and the case is being investigated by PS Crime and Economic Offence. During sustained interrogation, the Myanmarese poachers revealed that some local residents of Bambooka Island, under the jurisdiction of Police Station Teressa, had met with them and provided various logistical support. In return, the poachers had given these residents certain gratifications for their assistance.
