Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 17: The beautiful hamlet of Baratang is certainly a potential tourist destination, but this silent village with majority of Ranchi families remained neglected for over many years. Shri Bishnu Pada Ray during his visit to Baratang on 11^th October met the villagers and gave a patient hearing to several longstanding issues raised by them. Most of the matters were critical to the development and well-being of the residents in the Baratang region. Sensing the gravity of the problems the MP invited a delegation of villagers to visit Sri Vijaya Puram so that the matters could be raised at the level of CS.
