Indian golfer Aditi Ashok produced her best performance in a Major as she finished tied-17th at the Evian Championship with the help of three birdies in last four holes. Aditi carded a 2-under 69 for a 7-under for the week. Her previous best was T-22 at the 2018 Women's Open. Aditi, who has played more than 30 Majors, shot 71-70-67-69. Japan's Ayaka Furue finished with three birdies from 14 to 16 and then an eagle on the 18th for a card of 69. She won her first Major by a single shot when she holed an impressive eagle putt from 15 feet.

Randhawa tied-7th in Swiss Senior; Jeev finishes tied-20th

Jyoti Randhawa ended a creditable tied-seventh, while Jeev Milkha Singh signed off tied-20th after a rollercoaster final round in the Legends Tour's Swiss Senior Open. Randhawa, playing his rookie season on the tour for over-50 in Europe, added a third round 69 to his 66-69 for a 6-under. Jeev (69-72-68) was at 2-under.

Ahead of British Open, Shubhankar finishes T-39

Indian golfer Shubhankar Sharma, warming up for the final Major of the season, finished T-39 at the Scottish Open here. Sharma, who turns 28 on the final day of the 152nd Open on Sunday, was 8-under through 17 holes and almost inside the top-10 when he triple-bogeyed the 18th to card a 5-under 65 and totalled 8-under to finish T-39. Scotsman Robert MacIntyre birdied the last to claim an emotional home victory.

Anahat, Bawa enter World Junior squash quarters

India's Anahat Singh and Shaurya Bawa entered the girls' and boys' singles quarterfinals, respectively, in the World Junior Squash Championships in Houston. Anahat, the 16-year-old women's national champion, beat Japan's Akari Midorikawa 11-6, 13-11, 11-2 in the pre-quarterfinals. Bawa scored a 11-9, 5-11, 11-5, 13-11 win over Segundo Portabales of Argentina. — Agencies
