Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today said that the state government had allowed the Himachal Pradesh Rajya Chayan Aayog (HPRCA) to declare the results of 21 exams of various categories in different government departments. He added that the government was committed to providing employment opportunities to the youth based on merit.

He said, "Since the formation of the Congress government, around 30,000 new posts have been created in the government sector and the process to fill them is underway." He criticised the previous BJP government for misleading the youth about their job prospects, claiming that only 20,000 government jobs were created during its five-year tenure and many of these were stalled due to legal cases.

Sukhu said that the HPRCA had been given the go-ahead to declare the results of Lab Assistant in Forensic Services, Assistant Computer Programmer in Land Records, Hostel Superintendent-cum-PTI in Technical Education, Vocational Training, Inspector Legal, Meteorology of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Fisheries Officer and Copy Holder in the Printing and Stationery Department and other departments.

Sukhu said the government had decided to play the national anthem and unfurl the national flag in all government schools in the morning Assembly session every day.

He said the decision had been taken with the intention to infuse spirit of patriotism among students. "These activities would instill a sense of patriotism among the younger generation, fostering a spirit of unity and integrity. This will nurture them into responsible citizen," he added.

The Chief Minister said that after coming to power, the state government has brought various reforms and this initiative was a part of broader efforts to reform the education system.

"The state government is also making efforts to improve the physical well-being of students as physical education and yoga would be made mandatory subjects in the curriculum, ensuring that the students dedicate at least 15 minutes each day to physical exercise in all the schools," he stated.

He said it would be the responsibility of PT teachers to ensure that students exercise. He said that training in CPR and first aid would also be provided to the students in collaboration with the Health and Ayush Departments equipping students with vital life-saving skills.

Sukhu said these reforms were part of the government's commitment to provide holistic education that not only focuses on academic excellence but also on physical health, national pride and civic responsibility.
