Jalandhar, July 30

Ex-MLA Gurpartap Wadala and ex-SGPC chief Jagir Kaur have termed their expulsion from the SAD as a hasty decision taken in panic.

Jagir Kaur, who was expelled from the party for the second time today, said Sukhbir Badal and his team were acting in a dictatorial manner. "None of us, including me, Wadala, ex-MP Prem S Chandumajra or other members, has indulged in any anti-party activity. All we are doing is to strengthen the party. If we do not even have any democratic right within the party to speak our mind, then how can we make any improvement?" she said.

"We announced an SAD Sudhar Lehar, which is only for improving the party. We announced a 13-member presidium yesterday to roll out a reform movement. What wrong have we committed by taking these steps? Balwinder Singh Bhunder is no one to expel us. We are in the Akali Dal and shall remain a part of it," she said.

Wadala also hit back at Sukhbir Badal saying, "He is not upset at the steps we are taking. He is actually perturbed over the revelations being made by Dera Sacha Sauda's ex-premi Pardeep Kler about the SAD support to dera chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim at the time of seeking apology over dressing up like Guru Gobind Singh."
