Hindi film producers are increasingly collaborating with regional cinema, with Karan Johar's Dharma Productions teaming up with Punjabi star Gippy Grewal for Akaal: The Unconquered. Inspired by Aamir Khan's suggestion, the film will have a Hindi release. Grewal's movie, starring his son and other notable actors, is a fictional tale set in the 1840s Punjab.
