At least three fatalities and over 200 rescues have been reported due to severe storms in southern Texas, prompting ongoing rescue operations. Harlingen received more than 21 inches of rain, causing widespread flooding and power outages across several counties. Emergency shelters were set up, and a tornado watch was issued for Liberty and Polk Counties.
