Third-placed Banks O’ Dee are at Deveronvale and defending champions Buckie Thistle, who currently languish 16 points off the top in mid-table, take on Clachnacuddin.

BOXING: Sheffield’s Dalton Smith puts his unbeaten record on the line when he fights Walid Ouizza for the European light-welterweight title in Nottingham on Saturday evening.

The former British and Commonwealth champion has won 12 of his 16 bouts by knock-out.

On the undercard, WBO and IBF super-bantamweight belt holder Ellie Scotney defends her titles against New Zealand’s Mea Motu, who is unbeaten in 20 bouts.

MEN’S CRICKET: Pakistan start their second test against the West Indies in Multan on Saturday morning less than a week after spinners Sajid Khan, Noman Ali and Abrar Ahmed bowled them to a thumping 127-run win in the series opener at the same venue.

Despite a third consecutive home win Pakistan are still only ranked as the world’s seventh-best team, one place above the Windies, following a 2-0 series defeat in South Africa.

MEN’S RUGBY LEAGUE: This weekend’s Challenge Cup second round kicks off with the London Broncos facing Goole Vikings at Saturday lunch-time, before minnows Dewsbury Moor take on League One neighbours Dewsbury Rams.
