Hundreds of homes are without power across North Staffordshire this morning after latest wintry blast swept through the county. Temperatures dropped and heavy snow moved in across the area in the early hours which has wreaked havoc on the roads and seen scores of schools forced to shut.Meanwhile National Grid engineers are currently working to restore power to a number of properties left without electricity. As it stands the current neighbourhoods are affected:29 homes around the Greenmore Avenue area of Fegg Hayes;11 properties off Leek Road near to Kingsley;228 in Bottomhouse and Bradnop - along with the outskirts of Ipstones and Waterhouses;260 in Eccleshall;80 in the centre of Stafford.
