A Thai zoo whose baby pygmy hippo Moo Deng has become a global sensation has moved to patent her image so it can benefit financially from the hippo's popularity. The director of Khao Kheow Open Zoo, Marongwit Chodchoi, said it took the step to prevent the animal from being commercialised by anyone but the zoo. Her name, which means 'bouncy pork', was the winning moniker in an online poll participated in by 20,000 people in August
